Bad British cooking is bad — just like bad American cooking is bad.

But properly prepared with fresh ingredients, both traditional British and American dishes are simple and delicious.

Both cuisines define “comfort food” — whether it’s American meatloaf or British bangers and mash.

I'm really not a “comfort food” type guy. Never have been. Sorry. Grew up in a restaurant family. My step dad and two of my half brothers were all accomplished, working chefs. In fact, comfort food to me means lazily processed, but then I'm Informed by my upbringing. Sorry you find my informed comment inappropriate, but it's not your business what others here comment on, now is it? I've had British food, plenty of it, and from my experience that's my take on it.

You're really the snarky one here, not me.
