Correction...Briggs and Stratton presented their version in 1980...developed in 70’s.....to be a bit more accurate...from what I read there was a hybrid in 1917 or so.

The Briggs was actually a pretty cool little car. kind of looked like an AMC pacer with 6 wheels. :)
