By Mid February of '45, the defeat of Germany was inevitable. Allied forces were already in Germany, but had not yet crossed the Rhine. They would do so a few weeks later.

Dresden, which was payback for the bombing of London, did not have an impact on the time frame of the war.

Spoken like somebody who was not there. I guess we should have just rolled on into Berlin and presented them with the surrender paper. You can’t say that it did not help win the war. That’s like being in a street fight and deciding that one of the punches really didn’t help much. What brought the Nazis down was an absolute crescendo violence in the last few months. If the Nazis cared so much about the architecture of Dresden, they could have declared an open City and evacuated like Paris

Yes it did, and the lack of fuel at the front was vastly exacerbated by the changes in bombing command which began to hit railroad yards and bridges and yards full of construction equipment and power plants.

Things beyond just factories which were not specifically military but which were directly required to supply and support the military.

Dresden also served as an offering to Stalin. Stalin was complaining about the lack of Allied support in attacking targets supporting German forces going against the Soviets.
