Corporate marketing execs clamour to catch the next big trend and run with it. They want to sell an image, a lifestyle, and look compassionate and caring while they do it. Thats what makes Fitbits latest move so surprising, and Starbucks approach so predictable.
Fitness tracker Fitbits failure to fabricate gender categories for nonbinary females using the female health tracker engendered a freakout from Twitter user Lilo the Autistic Queer. She wanted the app to facilitate period tracking but didnt fancy claiming femaleness to do it.

So what’s going on here? Someone is offended, because there is some built in assumption that females have menstrual periods, and that the only people who menstruate are female?
And then does this mean someone was bigoted to make such assumptions?
Here’s the deal: someone who doesn’t like being either male or female wants to track a female biological function but without it being called female health tracking. Said someone wants the word “female” removed from the app so said-someone can track their (apparently) “female”-less biological function.
In other words: Quiet, please! An attention-whore is speaking!
Track my male menstrual cycles, bigot!
Tell them that social justice warriors are what happens when the class snitch grows up.
Insane gender-obsessed mentally unstable people really need that app to affirm their chosen gender, or they will fly into a rage. Just as they really need to go into the bathroom that is labeled with their chosen gender to confirm their delusion.
Today one of mine was making jokes about the Iowa Democratic Caucus. "They still don't know who won!" he said, and: "Nobody can stop Trump!" Apparently he's been talking about it with his classmates on the playground and in the lunchroom. They seem to regard their "liberal/progressive/left-wing" teachers as lunatics.
There's hope for the world.
