I only cook with the $3 bottles from the grocery. No sense in evaporating high dollar water.
Sweet reds and Cabernet for red meat, white wine for fish and chicken. Sauvignon Blanc is dry and use it for pasta sauce.
Pino Grigio is sweeter and works well with chicken or fish.
A sweet red is good to add to Spaghetti sauce.
I was a guest for dinner where they prepared steak with wine and it was absolutely wonderful...I've never forgotten that meal. well I'LL check on line for measuring.
Riunite Lambrusco for cooking beef, steak, and spaghetti sauce. A cheap wine, good to drink when still a bit fizzy and cold. When flat , great for cooking.
