Ok, we can love and forgive the little vixen for dancing with Mohammed and taking their pom-poms to the Liawatha campaign

But if it was Hillary Rotten .... no way, no freekin way in eternal H*ll.

No amount of love, not enough money in the world, no way should a disowned daughter be allowed back into the flock after committing allegiance to the Witch. Might as well sign a contract with Satan.

There are lines we do not, will not cross, ever.

"Funny joke. But allowing adult children to discover their own beliefs is actually more loving. Loving unconditionally is much harder than only loving exactly what you want."

Hahaha! Sure, honey, do whatever you want while you live under my roof by my money.

Naw, let her discover her own beliefs on her own dime. She will have greater respect and appreciation for what she discovers.

Adult: a•dult ə-dŭlt′, ăd′ŭlt► n. One who has attained maturity or legal age. n. A fully grown, mature organism. adj. Fully developed and mature.

Child: child chīld► n. A person between birth and puberty. n. A person who has not attained maturity or the age of legal majority.

Therefore an "adult child" is an oxymoron.

Ox•y•mo•ron ŏk″sē-môr′ŏn″► n. A rhetorical figure in which incongruous or contradictory terms are combined, as in a deafening silence and a mournful optimist. n. In rhetoric, a figure consisting in adding to a word an epithet or qualification apparently contradictory; in general, close connection of two words seemingly opposed to each other (as, cruel kindness; to make haste slowly); an expression made epigrammatic or pointed by seeming self-contradictory. n. A figure in which an epithet of a contrary signification is added to a word; e. g., cruel kindness; laborious idleness.

“allowing adult children to discover their own beliefs”

Are you Nuckin Futz?

Please read what you wrote.

“allowing adult children”?

Throw them out of the house. They’ll learn, or croak.
You can always make more.

Or if you did it so badly the first time, maybe you shouldn’t . . .

Yaelle, yes, you are right. I love my kids no matter what they do. I may not be wild about what they do, but I stick with them.

That's true - it's the paying for it all that really chaps my ass.

Nope. Nope. Nope. No WAY I will support bad actions and behavior from any of my kids. And if they are adults, don’t let the door hit ya on the way out. I told them I love them, but I will not support any kind of bad behavior or choices. I raise my kids right, and if they go stupid, it’s on them. My oldest 2 know this, the younger ones will learn it, and the Mrs. supports it.

When my oldest son was a teenager, I would say to him... Your older brother used to talk like that....he would say Dad I don’t have an older brother....I would look at him and say.... Not anymore

I told my middle child I would love them unconditionally unless they voted for my enslavement.

A funny look followed. “How?”

“Who do you think pays for all the free stuff these politicians promise? Your father and I do. We are debt slaves to the political establishment!”

A thoughtful look followed. “What about the rich?”

“Honey, we are in the highest tax bracket. We are the rich!”

A confused look followed. “But we’re not rich.”

“Tell that to the politicians promising free stuff.”

A horrified look followed and the conversation ended.

Hopefully, when they go into the voting booth in November for the first time, they will remember my warning and vote accordingly. Otherwise, they can move out and foot the bill themselves.

I didn’t mean supporting evil behavior. I meant supporting opinions and choices that might not be ours.

I agree with that. Shoot, my oldest has that now. But he knows where my line is.
