Harrison Ford says 'we gotta start talking politics'
| Fox News ^ | 2/18/20 | Tyler McCarthy

Harrison Ford is dipping his toe into political waters, noting in a recent interview that talking about politics has become unavoidable.

Days after the 77-year-old actor appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and called President Donald Trump a “son of a b----,” he was asked about his recent forays into talking politics in an interview with CBS News. The star responded by noting that politics has become too divisive and called for a return to “the middle ground.”

"I think it's come to the point where we gotta start talking politics," Ford said. "But we gotta talk about it in a positive way. We gotta regain the middle ground. We're in these ideological enclaves. But the truth is in the middle. Progress is made in the middle."

When asked if he thought it was possible to get back to the middle ground, the Han Solo actor’s response was blunt.

“We damn well better,” he shot back.

Ford was on hand to promote his new film, “The Call of the Wild,” which he says spoke to his personal beliefs about climate change and human beings’ impact on the natural world.

Yeah, you're sounding real moderate there, Harry. This is why you should be on a resort in the Poconos instead of hanging out with leftists talking their stupid crap to anybody that will listen. Go get checked out for Alzheimer's, that'll do you more good than going to Hollywood events.

He’s SAVING the planet by not actually TOUCHING any of the planet.

And saving DOGS, too - bu not using any real dogs in the movie.

What a doofus.

They always start out smiling and talking nice. Give them enough time and they start screaming and calling for people to be shot, that’s how Marxists are.

I don’t have a problem with this. If only washed up old actors like Ford taked politics, it woudn’t be a problem. What pisses me off is when young actors and those at their peak ruin movies for me by shooting their liberal mouths off. As long as actors shut up during their careers and wait until they are over-the-hill to spout off about politics, I’m OK with that. It is easy to ignore at that point.

Go for it Ford, knock yourself out. I doubt I will hear a word you say.

He’s into science, uh-huh. This is like the Hollywood leftists that are “into government” and couldn’t pass a junior high class in civics.

Wow, how brave. A hollywood star willing to openly discuss leftwing politics. You don’t see that every day.

Harrison Ford = idiocy. Actors just need to look good, follow a script, and hit their marks. Harrison Ford ought to stick with what he knows. Maybe he’s not so quick on the uptake in his senior years?

If getting things done makes you a son of a b—tch, we could use a few more in government.

Nothing I hate more than celebrities thinking we give a darn about their politics.

Same here. Used to love his movies, the way he used his hands, especially. Very expressive.

Now he’s a buffoon. Our daughter’s friend had a mom who was a stewardess on one of Ford’s flights. It was common practice for a flight attendant to gather up cards from passengers, for celebrities to autograph
during their flight, but Ford flatly refused to be bothered.

Understandable, maybe. It must be annoying to be hounded. But who are they without fans?

Yeah, that sure sounds like the “middle ground”.

Another “do as I say, not as I do” person that has themselves and many weak minded persons convinced that they are “special” somehow.

OK, you got money and that’s about the only way you’re special. Go enjoy it and STFU, hypocritical a——hole. Or maybe, if you can work up enough self-discipline to start being nicer, you can start being the change you wanna see, cupcake.

I have bought my last ticket to a Harrison Ford movie.

That big boulder should have done him in. An actor now; a would be politician only in his egotistical mind.

Three Bronx cheers for the want-to-be.

Everybody who lacks knowledge and has not reached their political thinking through logical questioning and research considers themselves "in the middle".

It's much more comfortable than admitting that you think what you're told to think by your television.

Just what we need. More celebs thinking they are really as smart as they are portrayed on screen and can now run the country.

Someone should sit him down for an hour, on live TV and “talk politics”. He would look like an idiot.
