Wondering if my slug abatement theory might work....
I’ve always turned my garden spots with a shovel after yanking dead plants and big weeds out and weedeatering crabgrass to the surface.
After that I usually keep it moist so it doesn’t turn into rocks(after throwing down manure and straw)
Am going to try and not water at all until I plant my stuff. I’m hoping the dryness, heat and lack of vegetation will starve them out before planting time.
When I plant them, I was only going to soften the immediate area instead of the whole bed and when I place irrigation I will very carefully try to just keep it right where the plants are.
Could this work?
