We need to stop talking about changing the Constitution to meet our short term needs. Its worked fine for the big stuff.
If there is a really special 35 year old who WE might want as President...why get in their way?
Life expectancy being what it now is, I am at a loss for why this great nation would ever actually need anyone with less than four decades of life experience to be our Head of State and Head of Government. Granted that WJBC was 46 when he was elected, he didnt exactly model maturity in the WH, did he? Obama was 48, JFK was only 43.Dan Quayle was pressed Senator, youre no John Kennedy about his youth at the time. Nixon, BTW, was 47 in 1960 . . . and only 39 in 1952.
I guess the minimum age to be elected VPOTUS wouldnt need to be raised, and the raised minimum age should only be for election to POTUS by the Electoral College.
But the issue is moot; nobody would go to the mat for a constitutional amendment just for that . . .
