Her kids won’t talk to her, won’t let her see her grandkids nor help her in any way because she is a Trump Supporter...she is 79 years old...now I in my most humble opinion think this is one of the most asinine situations of all times, but guess what, it goes on all the time and all over...
When my daughter and I go shopping, we ask her what she needs and we get it for her and she pays us after we deliver the food, we have her over to dinner and we include her into things...never once have I seen any family members or grandkids...
Is that how Jesus taught us to live?
You are doing the right thing. Sometimes your family is not blood related. Honestly I sometimes wonder if this is how one of my kids is going to be with me and my husband. The other one has a clue. Both have been raised the same way. Keep hoping the first one will turn now that they are starting to adult on their own. Long distance hasn’t helped the situation either. I just keep praying.
If they refuse to or can’t get to church, you bring a comfy version of church to them.
I was real pleased in ‘16 that all 5 kids and the 3 grandkids of voting age voted right. But I think I’m needed over in Alabama for a while this year to work on the thinkin’ of 2 granddaughters. This will be the first election for one. She’s got too much lib-speak coming out her mouth. Her sister, who voted correctly in ‘16 is now a junior in college. College hasn’t done her thinkin’ any political favors. They be needin’ some straight talk from Granny. Cause and effect. Actions and reactions.
