Everyone needs to read the latest Hillsdale College Imprimis. It hits the nail on the head better than anything I’ve ever read on the subject; “The Roots of our Partisan Divide”. It’s authored by Christopher Caldwell and he has a new book out “The Age of Entitlement: America Since the Sixties.”
It runs from the assassination of President Kennedy to the election of President Trump. Pretty much boiled down, it was passing the Civil Rights laws of the 1960’s and in particular the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that divided the country and began all the nonsense we see today of everyone and their brother latching onto special privileges for themselves - it has never ended. Someone comes up with another privileged class every day.
I highly recommend it..for answers to why we are seeing so much insanity today and so many people grumbling and insisting on changes to our traditions...

It is so funny. Some Dow chemical co SECRETARIES were helping us with an election, at a polling precinct. They HATED being called secretaries. So I mentioned that many high up government positions are Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of Education, etc. And a lot of them were men. They made a very large salary at Dow, everyone does, compared to the general population.
So I continued to call them secretaries just to irritate them!!!!!!!!!!!
