For the first time, a U.S. survey found that black children appear to be more likely than white kids to be diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and other learning disabilities.
Previous studies had found the diagnosis was far more likely in white kids.
It’s not known what might have driven the change described in Wednesday’s report, said lead author Benjamin Zablotsky of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
In past studies that found higher rates of ADHD diagnoses in white kids, researchers hypothesized there were racial differences in access to health professionals or perhaps racial differences in attitudes that make white parents more likely to seek an ADHD diagnosis than black parents.
The new study is a based on three years of data — 2016 through 2018 — from a national in-person survey, and represents about 23,000 children ages 3 to 17. About 17% of black children had ever been diagnosed, compared with about 15% of white kids and about 12% of Hispanic kids, the report found. …

Studies show that pregnant women who smoke or drink alcohol may have a higher risk of having a child with ADHD.
Or perhaps the medical industry has found another gold mine of kids to drug.
Honestly, kids, especially boys, need to run, jump, exercise, and get energy out before they can learn better. School is set up mostly for girls.
Odd, we had some neighbors (of a somewhat white-trashy background). Woman had a little girl and was said to have stopped smoking ind drinking during pregnancy. Fairly quiet kid as far as we could tell.
Second pregnancy while we lived next door, she let it all hang out in her style, smoking and drinking. That kid sure sounded brain damaged, screaming and making sounds like a monkey.
The Democrats posture, pose and cater to minorities because they think they are inferior and need help through life. In a messed up mental transference their elite liberal ugly souls think we are as screwed up as they are.
Seeing as how “the medical industry” is increasingly an arm of the government, then it’s the government doing this to the children.

In my neck of the woods there is a cottage industry of sorts where kids are coached on how to “fail” a learning ability exam.
Once a student “fails”, he is placed in a special education class where he gets more attention. That’s nice. And the parent gets a monthly check because the child is “disabled”. That’s nicer.
The publik skool system is finally mainstreaming black kids.

There’s a pretty big market for Adderol but mostly it’s parents using. It’s bad enough that the kids are periodically drug tested.
So more Black kids are getting vacillated?
