Black Friday has come early this year.

“Sams is getting ripped off here in terms of coverage. Everyone is posting about Costco”

Those are the chains you have to buy a membership if you wanna shop or at least to not pay super-sucker prices?

Yeah, I always wonder who is paying the most for the media coverage....like during snowstorms, Lowe’s or Home Depot? I’m a Sam’s guy myself.

“ANGRY people if they cannot get their Mountain Dew.”

Buy Sprite or 7 Up and toss in a half dozen spoonfuls of sugar & they’re good to go.

Toilet paper? Doesn’t anyone own a hose anymore?

Yes. Costco operates on a shoestring budget in terms of margins. Dont know about Sams. I know some have closed.

They sell their baked chicken for cost or less than cost to get people in the door.

Its good. I usually buy one when I am there.

I get grocery stuff from a small chain, they fill the order and deliver it - which adds about 10 bucks to the tab. Expecting a delivery from them today in a few hours, in fact.

In my case, I don’t want to have to go to stores while sick or not sick and deal with getting sick.

I am stocking up on things I absolutely have to have and thus only need to go out on a sporadic basis.

Plus hopefuly they haven’t had Wuhan coughed all over them yet.

“baked chicken for cost”

Oh, forgor that - yeah, I assume it’s like the roasted chicken a supermarket near me sells. One of those makes a great meal - they’re small but have a lot of meat and they’re sooo good.

I tell you they won’t even touch the other stuff. It has to be Dew.

For one of my friends, it has to be Dr. Pepper. Nothing else.

I don’t have a CostCo.

Stop shopping at Sam’s years ago because honestly, 48 rolls of toilet paper is kinda hard to store.

:D

Panic prepping is what I call it.

People that sit around with their heads in the sand until prodded in the arse

We’re too broke to stockpile for us but my dogs can easily ride out Armageddon, thanks to clearance/discontinued sales at Petvalu.

:D

True. You might have a 30 to 60 day window where people are buy-crazy for weird stuff.

Negative is that flights will go downward....Bet by end of March....all airlines in the US are cutting 10-percent of their passenger flights. Same for resort hotels, cruise ships, etc.

I have mine for the Dog pee pads. I will buy a few items every time I am there. I like their Naan bread and cheaper than in the regular store. Also their croissants.

Then I freeze them

I believe the reason is that if or when the pandemic hits, people will not have to make contact as much with other people.

It is always a good idea to have 3 month supply of food stores on hand.

Keep waiting for cruise prices to really drop. Have seen some price reduction but nothing I would consider dramatic. I cruise about once a year and get decent to really cheap price alerts, have not seen that yet. Waiting for that “gee I can’t pass this up” offer. I’m in Central Tx. have not seen signs of any panic buying yet.

I’ve been to my local Walmart store twice in the last two days. the only things missing were alcohol and hand sanitizers, nothing more. Yesterday they had the alcohol shelves stocked, but no hand sanitizer.

Toilet paper well stocked.

I’m a pepper, too, it’s good stuff! Don’t drink it a whole lot - but it’s my favorite “pop”, as we call it in this neck o’ the woods.

I thought prepping was only done by racist, bigoted, gun toting terrorists....
