“PA Executive Director Rick Cotton tested positive for the deadly bug...”
In other news, THE DAM HAS BUSTED!!!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!!!
“Dead man walking here.Dead man walking”
Stick De Blasio in with him.
Uh, oh. The corona groupies won’t like that dose of common sense from POTUS. The fact is far more people have died of the flu than corona while they have been tantruming about corona these past weeks.
Good points made in that excerpt. Now forgive my crudity but perhaps this finding about viral shedding in stool will make the powers that be rethink mandating low flush toilets.
Probably way more ‘spread’ via the ‘supercharged’ low flow toilets.
Like the ones in public restrooms...
Are you implying that viruses spread through the internet?
He’s been his own worst enemy on this entire issue, and I cringe every time he opens his mouth about it.
In my circle of family and friends no one I know is panicking except my parents who are in their 80's which is probably prudent
Only Gods intervention now will save America now as Trump will take the fall unless He intervenes
Chicken little much? ....Geez,
“Isnt it nice the elite and VIPs have access to a test.”
it is ... and it’s also nice that the rest of us have access as well: LabCorp started offering the test to the general public last Thursday and Quest started offering it today. Jjust like all other testing, all it takes is a doctor’s order, AND due to the pence task force nuking a bunch of regs, CMS (and therefore private insurance) will pay for those tests even though they are still in the process of being FDA-approved ...

Would be interesting to see testing comparing different flush styles of toilets. All I know the stuff should be gone with one flush not 5 and without drama.
‘Mythbusters’ had this on an episode IIRC.
It’s where I first became familiar with it.
Before that, I assumed any poop germs on surfaces in the bathroom came from ‘poor bathroom hygiene and no hand washing’.
I will have to see if I can find that on streaming.
No, the majority who get the bug don’t die, but it is so contagious and its apparently mortality rate is high enough to in combination make it not just deadly, but potentially very deadly.
You will definitely flush AFTER you close the lid when you watch that one!
And even then...
If we ever build a house or redo a bathroom...hubby and I have discussed putting in a UV light on special switch outside the bathroom. One that’s activated from outside and runs for however long it’s necessary to germ kill and then automatically shuts off. Or activated via remote.
etc.
Then again, I’m a Howard Hughes level germphobe.
It’s an IT joke
If you don’t get it, you won’t get it
So are you saying that you can call your doctor (I heard they don’t want you to just show up at the office) and they will call in a script for this test — bingo ?
“So are you saying that you can call your doctor (I heard they dont want you to just show up at the office) and they will call in a script for this test bingo ?”
sigh. it’s like any other illness that you feel sick enough that you need to go to the doctor for: you make an appointment with your regular doctor, or go to a walk-in clinic, or go to an ER, and get evaluated for your illness and the doc prescribes tests and/or medicines or they say they know what’s wrong without tests or they say they don’t think anything is wrong ...
Viruses-computer-internet. Sorry I forgot the sarcasm tag.
Though if someone (when) in my office gets it, we all get it. All very close and there are a lot of us--it's a big place.
