Absolutely. We are 4 months into this. It’s everywhere. And so far 31 have died in the US. I do not understand the panic.

The mortality rate is determined by the number of people who have symptoms, and who die from it. The mortality rate is always calculated this way.
There is no way to know the number that never report symptoms. For this disease or any other.

Only on the surface. If there are 10x the cases, that’s 10x the burden on our hospitals, 10x the number of our healthcare profession that gets sick (and thus has to be isolated) and about 109x the panic. Yeah, great news. :>(
But those deaths will be attributed to the regular flu, heart attack, natural causes, ingrown toenail, etc. instead of CV.
