As far as lyrics & musicianship go, U2 is one of my least favorite bands, but performers like these are able to get to the heart of the melodic tapestry.
By tossing out the trite lyrics (which for me distract from the music) they are able to hear & share with us the source of the classical elements in pop tunes...and how amazing is that?
