In 1938, Orson Welles was the star of a sci fi radio program, so realistically performed, almost all of America (those with radios in 1938) were convinced we had been attacked by Martians)

Grab a glass of whatever and sit quietly for about an hour ..... THEN listen/watch the story behind the radio broadcast.

When (if) you listen to The Untold Story, you’ll understand who the American people were then and what they were doing .... almost all tuned in after the intro and began well into “the invasion” ....... they didn’t know it was a program.
