Hey Freepers, until chloroquine supplies come in, remember that tonic water contains quinine.
British soldiers used to drink quinine water (tonic water) when they were in the jungle, to prevent malaria (being Brits, they also added Gin).

Yup.
Got mine early this morning - the tonic water, that is.
Ordered some bark supplements from Amazon this morning also.

Mrs Afterguard and I are currently in and around the pool and she is on her second vodka tonic (which contains quinine) and she agrees with your post. Except for the gin part.

As others have posted, tonic water doesn’t have enough quinine in it to be medically helpful.
