If you can still get out for eggs, I discovered that you can freeze them. Put a couple in a baggie, pin prick the yolks, add pinch of salt for use in salty recipes; 3/4 t (seems way too much) of sugar for sweet recipes. I used salt.

I called shoprite and they have them so I will be there at 8am when the doors open.

There is a limit and that is good. I want as many as possible to be able to get some.

But diet root beer? No limit!!! :)

I’m hoping. I also tried the recipe for freezing bananas for cereal. TOTAL DISASTER! Now I see why they recommend it for baking and smoothies. They look glorious (you sprinkle lemon or lime juice on slices before freezing them on a baking tray then plunking them in a baggie) but they take on a slimy texture when you defrost them that isn’t pleasant in cereal.

I’m also freezing two pieces of bread in separate sandwich baggies since I can stuff them into corners of my over-filled freezer. When I can’t fit a finished dish anywhere and the ingredients will spoil soon, I’m cooking the ingredients separately (like mushrooms and celery) and stuffing them into corners, too.
