Those urban heat island readings wasn't enough.
Now they take into those account WITH models of approximations of weather stations might have been if those weather stations that closed down years ago were still here.
In other words they make sh^% up totally fabricated which supposed to be measured data.

Yep. Anything that can be extrapolated from archived data gets thrown in the mix. They got called on the carpet for doing things like putting sensors in the middle of airports. Well, what do you think the temp's going to be at a jet hangar in March? You're going to get a sustained, dynamic reading, several degrees higher and not a shielded, ambient temp record. I remember someone bringing this up during to a meteorologist during my graduate NWS Skywarn training, and he danced around the question like Michigan J. Frog. And the subject matter was in reference to retention of topographic heat vs. radiant cooling. LOL!
