How pray tell did you come up with those numbers? Worldometers has the US at 1,943 deaths so far, with 247 in the last 24 hours. That assumes the information provided is correct. As they are seeing in Europe, some of their COVID-19 deaths really weren’t.

Through a process called statistical extrapolation. It is familiar to people skilled in said discipline. I am assuming US death count reported every day is accurate as opposed to China’s.

“Influenza” deaths aren’t either. They estimate a whole bunch of stuff in the flu deaths.

Oh wait...we are supposed to guess with flu deaths, but be “precise” with Covid deaths. I forgot. Apple, meet banana.
