A reasonable person would ask what the reason is for the discrepancy. Flu kills, nobody cares. Chinee virus kills, mass hysteria.
What are we not being told?

The problem is that of those 2351 Covid19 deaths, 525 occurred yesterday. If the flu season lasts 100 days, that’s 52,500 deaths. And in Spain, Italy, and France, the daily deaths increased quite a bit, reaching 900 per day in Italy 2 days ago. The US has 5 times the population of Italy, so if we follow their pattern we will have 4,500 deaths per day here, and if that continues for 100 days that will be 450,000 people dead. I know it sounds trivial, but for many of the dead people it will be very upsetting.

At age 74 I have more chance to die in a vehicle crash than from Coronavirus. It almost happened today. On a Sunday Drive I made a leisurely left turn at a deserted intersection and did not realize that a car was doing about 90 mph and quickly came up behind me and was pissed that I was only doing 65.
Be concerned don’t take chances with coronavirus for the same reason you don’t take chances on the highway. But don’t panic. There is no reason to panic.

So how many of those were COVID-19? On the fatalities we will never know...on the recovered we can do a “post-season debrief” stats/research with antibody/serology tests for COVID-19.

Here is some perspective: I recorded a PBS show about Garth Brooks getting the Library of Congress Gershwin Award for Popular Song just last night, March 29th.
It was recorded live on March 4th, 2020. That’s just 25 days ago. The theater was packed. Many Congressmen were there from Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, Patrick Lehey, Kevin McCarther, Jim Jordans, and more.
No panic. No social distancing. Not even a word about this virus. NOTHING.
So I’m now supposed to just shut up and watch our economy die while they partied 25 DAYS AGO.
Since then 3000 Covid deaths (if you believe that) and 6000 from plain flu on avearge which we have vaccines for.
I also believe if you got drunk, ran off the road, hit a tree and died and the autopsy should you had the Covid, they’d count it as a Covid death.

There could be an airline crash and if ‘they’ say the pilot was diagnosed etc they would attribute ALL 150(or so) deaths to the beervirus....TECHNICALLY, if the pilot ACTUALLY tested positive and it was proved he died because of it etc they would be ‘technically’ right BUT not right for this ‘exercise’
This is the same as when they reference some ‘tragic event’ some 25 years ago they will say “800 dead from the actual storm-BUT- the total rises to 3500 counting all the complications from the storm” etc etc etc
Lets cut off the FUNDING for this and watch the numbers go down AND maybe we will start getting an ‘honest count’. As long as there is a ‘reward’ for the diagnosed victims, the numbers will rise astronomically.

Probably not many, because the 24,000 - 62,000 flu deaths is within the historic range. We have many years of data on this. And that data is obtained via testing for flu.
The reverse, however, is more likely. Why? Testing. Data. More specifically, testing. Meaning, how many who are said to have died due to Wuhan-19, especially prior to increased testing/accuracy, actually died of another respiratory illness. Like influenza.
In Italy, for example:
"In the absence of detailed data and testing, it is impossible to know exactly how many deaths in elderly care homes may be due to COVID-19 or to other causes like seasonal influenza or pneumonia. "
Yep, too early for accurate analysis...need a year and an antibody/serology test to detect people that had WuhanSARS-CoV-2 and recovered at home/are now immune. That being said 500 fatalities a day in the US is hard to ignore....that would lead to 165,000+ fatalities over the rest of the flu season/year, barring getting a vaccine in less than 10 months. The truth is somewhere between the “FluBro” and “hair on fire”/”end of the world” positions. My “WAG”...a 0.25% fatality rate...just under 2x as bad as “regular flu” strains. If a vaccine is put into use before next Fall then I will have to revise down my estimate.
If we take the average of the estimate for flu, it's 43,000 deaths this season, which "generally" begins in October.
10/2019 till now is 182 days.
That means, on average, ~236 people died of flu every single day during this season so far. Of course, there were peaks (Jan/Feb being deadliest) and valleys (start & end of "season). The data is hard to find, but I'll bet there were days where influenza deaths hit ~500 per day.
With the flu, the "country" doesn't blink.
With Wuhan-19, the country shuts itself down, with the increasing chance of purposely introducing a depression. (thought not by direct intention by the non-progressives.)
I believe, when this Wuhan-19 season is done, the "mortality" rate will be no more than 1%*. Major asterisk there!
Since we don't have the testing data for the entire season, like we do with the flu, the adjusted...real mortality rate would likely be far less than that.
The progressives and never Trumper's in our country have created this panic...this hysteria. They latched onto this thing as a means to continue their ongoing coup.
Wuhan-19 must be taken as seriously as the seasonal flu, or as pneumonia which is deadlier than the flu.
Essentially shutting down our entire country is an over reaction.
Adding WuFlu death count to the existing flu season (hospitals routinely run at 85%-95% capacity during normal Winter/flu seasons) over-stresses the system and then leads to additional deaths. Take the Corps of Engineers field hospitals that are now needed in New York for example. Also, pneumonia is a side effect of flu (bacteriological in regular flu/can be treated with antibiotics, vs viral in COVID-19...far fewer treatment options). Time will tell.
