Leah Penniman already teaches people how to farm, and has adapted her team's programming online. She is co-director and farm manager at Soul Fire Farm, a community farm in New York state that fights racism and injustice in the food system. Ms. Penniman, boys and girls, is what's known as a wokehole.

And while we’re at it put in some fruit trees... after the fad’s over and the pandemic’s controlled - fruit trees will be there for the next time China takes a crap on the world.
(My lovely coffee tree died last year...still mourning.)

I barely use a drop, but you can tell by the feel if its all off. The problem is, sometimes theres food grade wax put on produce and H2O2 wont cut that like soap will. Got it: and some are more waxy than others.

Mostly peppers are what I use it for.
I would never do it for broccoli or some such rough veggie.
Other ones I just scrub, like potatoes and carrots.
Celery gets rinsed very thoroughly.
The stuff I grow myself gets rinsed but at least I don’t have to worry about disease on them from who knows who that touched the produce.

Was 73 degrees here today. Warmer Saturday and Sunday. Dang I hate snow. You have heard the joke about Michigan guy heading south with a snowblower on his roof ?

Never heard of a Michigan guy heading south with a snowblower on his roof. Probably was a Yooper ( native to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula). He did not want to part with his snowblower or wanted to be able to get into his house when he returned home. Yoopers are a peculiar type of people.

Its a racist joke from my child hood.
So a guy from Michigan heads south with a snow blower on his roof. Said he will stop and live where someone asks him what it is. Anyway, he gets to Mississippi and some says whats that thing on your car. Hes in heaven and buys a house in Mississippi. 3 years later he is driving west with something else tied to the top of his car.
