With sadness but still much hope for the future, we are confirming the just-released announcement that the DCI member corps have unanimously voted to cancel the 2020 season. During this unprecedented time, safety and security are the most important things to consider and not conducting a national tour is the responsible choice. Our teams are working diligently to finalize and release plans on how members will be affected, including answers to key questions about tuition refunds, membership eligibility, potential contract rollovers, and more.
Like many areas of our life, we are using this opportunity to take a step back, reflect and re-evaluate how we can best serve all of our constituents. We are actively exploring new opportunities for summer 2020 and beyond and remain fully committed to providing a quality educational experience to the best of our ability. We seek to continue to make our members feel at home in the Spirit of Atlanta organization, and to find ways to keep our corps active in the community.
Most importantly, Spirit of Atlanta will survive and continue. We will make as much as we can of 2020 as opportunities allow. We are confident that we will be prepared for 2021 and our return to the field. We are a healthy, sustainable organization committed to serving youth activity and our commitment to our mission has not changed.
We thank all of the Spirit of Atlanta family for more than 4 decades of support and look forward to many more years of bringing great education and entertainment to our members and fans.
We cleaned up real good:
