I have a grandson who will enter college in the fall. He along with all of his friends applied and have already been accepted. Now his brother is a junior and , so far, the SATs and ACT have been canceled. His class will probably have to rely solely on their grades for admission.
Most seniors have already taken these exams last fall or In January. Current juniors can take them next fall. I don’t see the reason for simply dismissing their usefulness.
