I suggest everyone take a day away from this at least once a week....I took a half day yesterday ....took a nice long walk in the woods and didn’t check any news for hours

anyway yesterdays USA numbers

29,874 new cases
968 new deaths

not off to a good start so far today with NY state reporting 9810 new cases and 397 new deaths both all time highs for the morning update

NJ just in 4305 new cases and 109 new deaths (182 deaths yesterday but some of that was backlog)

so far today

19,282 new cases
644 new deaths

I agree. I take several hours a day and work in my garden and doing other farm work. It is very restorative

I took the morning off--definitely good idea. :-)

I would see this as a bottom for the market, as COVID 19 will most likely come nowhere near Fauci’s hair in fire numbers, except:

1) Fauci and other public health officials seem to enjoy pulling the rug from out of under Trump’s feet by making wild demands like keeping the lockdown in place for 18 months, or sending police forces out to patrol neighbourhoods.

2)The media is determined to keep the population scared with no regard to any perspective, and seem to be very successful in their efforts.

The reality may be rosy, but right now the markets are vulnerable to perception. Very annoying because it makes the markets utterly unpredictable.

I really want to take my dogs for a water hike.

I think I’m going to do that soon regardless of any risk.

I have so many friends and relatives in NY City and State.

The numbers today are almost unbearable.

I hope and pray they get a break soon.

That’s a truly important suggestion!

Every day when I leave the hospital I go outside and walk with my corgi..then mess around in garden. Days off...are off. No electronics at all. I’m with “it” every day at work- imperative for sanity to remember LIFE.

“I suggest everyone take a day away from this at least once a week....I took a half day yesterday”

It really does help. I’ve been trying to teach myself to machine quilt after 25 years of hand quilting, and that’s a good distraction. Add to that a background of ABBA, or binge watch a mindless TV series. It’s almost like “real life” for a few hours.

Being angry 24/7 is tough on a person.
