The actress who played the mother of the kid who got eaten in "Jaws," has passed away by a threat that's becoming more real and dangerous than a great white ... COVID-19.
Lee Fierro -- who portrayed Alex Kintner's mom, Mrs. Kintner, in the 1975 classic film -- has passed away due to complications from coronavirus ... according to Martha's Vineyard Times, which first reported her death. The first "Jaws" was shot on location there in Mass.

I heard so much about JAWS when it came out, I was not interested to see it myself. Everybody was talking about it all that summer and beyond. Of course, that (Last Warning!) cello solo still lives today.
For many years, I have checked the Obits on wikipedia. It’s just something I do — you learn about a bunch of obscure but interesting people. But for the past couple of months, Wikipedia has pushed the concept of “obscure”.
Some Italian academic who last published a book in 1968? Well, if they died of COVID-19, they’re gonna make to today’s front page!!!!
