The California Fish and Game Commission abruptly canceled a teleconference Thursday morning amid cries of “make fishing great again!” and “fascists!” before it could consider authorizing a limited ban on sportfishing in some areas.
Earlier this week, a group of conservative politicians, sheriffs and media outlets told their followers that Gov. Gavin Newsom’s administration was planning to outright cancel the fishing season statewide because of COVID-19.

My friend who recently retired was just commenting this morning about hitting some of our favorite fishing spots. I warned him that our great governor may ban fishing this year.(Nevada)

Once we do an emergency congressional redistricting and put more congressmen and women in red states, we can invite Devin Nunes to run in one of the new districts, decidedly red.

Got out on the Gunnison (Colorado) today, got a few on RS-2 emergers fished dry. Never got within 200 feet of a human.
Opening day of the General Trout Fishing season here where I live in the Eastern Sierra of California is huge. Thousands of fishermen and tourists come here to catch the big one. It is normally the last Saturday of April. The economy of the entire area is supported by the Trout fishing season April to November.

I remember Nevada where if you shot someone dead on your property, all you had to prove was that he was trespassing. It was not that long ago either. None of this “it was only stuff” or “only if he is in your house”. If a person jumped into your car in the driveway and was pulling away, you could use the same force a cop could.
Nothing is open for the LA Folks. 395 from Lone Pine to the Nevada Border is a ghost town. Inyo, Mono and Alpine Counties don’t want no folks and there will be no fish stocked.
