This is the stark assessment of how the pandemic is impacting the clothing industry from garment factory owner, Vijay Mahtaney, the chairman of Ambattur Fashion India.
In normal times, Vijay Mahtaney and his partners Amit Mahtaney and Shawn Islam employ a total of 18,000 workers in three countries - Bangladesh, India and Jordan. But the outbreak has forced them to shut down the majority of the business, with just one factory, in Dhaka, partially operational.

Why can’t they sell their clothes in India? Its a huge market.
The thought of trying something on that someone else tried on sounds really unsanitary right now. And I’m not a germaphobe normally.
Time to bring the jobs to IS. We may have fewer choices/more expensive, but, we’ve definitely learned these few months that some of us ( speaking for myself ) have too much stuff
Absolutely not my problem, not our problem. Our only problem is Indians coming to America. We don’t need you here for our jobs. These are for Americans. And I’d rather buy American made clothes anyway. To be perfectly honest, Every Indian could die, and I could care less and I will not shed a tear.

I did tell my wife that if this doesn’t end up as a shooting war and we get to pretend to be free again under the auspices of our benevolent government,
I would buy her a mink.
I did stipulate that she would have to clean the cage herself.
Make sure to include a mink mask. That would be cool.
