The former press secretary for Sen. Bernie Sanders's (I-Vt.) presidential campaign said Monday that she would not endorse former Vice President Joe Biden, shortly after Sanders appeared in an online video to announce support for his former rival in the general election against President Trump.
Briahna Joy Gray, who was Sanders's national spokeswoman until the campaign was suspended last week, has become a Twitter sensation in recent days for her searing attacks against Biden.
On Monday, just minutes after Sanders and Biden held a joint press conference to talk about how they would work together to defeat Trump, Gray responded on Twitter by saying she would not endorse Biden.

With the utmost respect for Bernie Sanders, who is an incredible human being & a genuine inspiration, I don't endorse Joe Biden.
I supported Bernie Sanders because he backed ideas like #MedicareForAll, cancelling ALL student debt, & a wealth tax. Biden supports none of those.

The tweet underscores the work Biden has ahead of him to win over some of Sanders's most ardent supporters, who insist they will not turn out for Biden simply as an alternative to Trump.

The majority of hard-core Bernie supporters will no longer support the DNC candidate. They view them (correctly) as establishment types who will continue to do what the big money donors and elite demand.
We have the same phenomenon on the right, but it is much less pronounced since Trump is the anti-establishment guy. However, look at what happened to Romney with the base in milquetoast run against Obama.
Same thing.
Do not believe the polling you are getting.... the DNC is in trouble and they know it. A significant portion of their base will not support Biden.
On top of that, Trump has made significant in-roads with the democrat base during the last campaign and with his performance.
I think Trump will pull the best numbers for a GOP candidate since the Reagan revolution with minority voters, union voters, immigrant voters, and with his own base.
With that said, I will be nervous until midnight on election day just because I don’t trust our fickle electorate.
