About 45 lbs down in 8 months. Keto rocks.
Mrs Drango is also down.
I can tell you I have a bad knee and the pain is clearly worse with sugar, it will be better after only about 2 days off sugar.
My sure fire diet. Write down all of the foods you like. Avoid them like the plague because if you like it, it’s obviously bad for you.
How is his “Rethinking Aging”?
I find for a good diet, what you READ is pretty important.
Two recent studies have shown that sweet-tasting zero-carb sugar substitutes cause insulin responses in mice. I've taken myself off the combo you mentioned. It hasn't been easy!
It is an excellent book. Many people get angry when you tell them that all the tests they get and pills they take may be useless or worse. Studies make drugs and procedures look more effective than they are by reporting results on the basis of a reduction in relative risk rather than absolute. It’s a big difference.
People are enchanted by all the new gizmos and procedures, though. It looks so nifty to see a stent open up a blood vessel instantly, even though it may very well clog up again soon. Taking medication is not nearly as glamorous, even though it is just as effective in the long run and safer.
Great! I am reading Eat Rich Live Long right now:

But as soon as I am done, I’ll start on it.
I have been on this planet over six decades and for me, if I can spend 10 or more minutes reading about healthy living first thing in the morning, it is a lot easier to stay motivated.
My saying back when I was a healthcare provider was: “What you read is almost as important as what you eat”.
Just don’t be like me in my younger days... reading the latest diet book while eating a candy bar. ;-)
