coming back from the vet today, heard on the talk radio that my county is opening up drive-up testing to anybody who wants it, appointment still needed. Must not have gotten a whole lot of positives.
But you know, I’m not sure if I want to get tested and risk getting infected at a drive-up site.
I’ve been sequestered since Moses was in diapers it seems, so what’s the purpose for me?
Maybe we should have a ‘not infected ‘column for those whose households greater than (1) haven’t had sickness in 60 days. And all that takes is a phonecall. That should narrow down the field substantially. And cost a whole lot less than trying to test everyone.
CALIFORNIA - Los Angeles
33 homeless cases...
“Los Angeles will deploy medical street teams to known encampments and set up trailers throughout the city to get people off the street, Mayor Eric Garcetti announced Friday.
This is in addition to statewide efforts to fast-track placing some of California’s 151,000 homeless residents in temporary shelters through Project Roomkey.”
out of 151K homeless, Garcetti has placed a whole 2400 in hotel rooms. Now he wants 300 trailers. This is what Los Angeles is getting for how many Millions did he set aside? $150 Million? Not including Fed money? If the military can set up a hospital/shelter in 4 days, why hasn’t Garcetti done the same in 4 weeks? The money went somewhere.
VERY unlikely to get infected at a dirve up testing site.
VERY!
Our drive up testing lasted all of a couple days. It shut down quick when it turned up a couple cases. If you don’t test, you don’t have any numbers to report and you can open up businesses quicker. See how that works, uh huh.
How did you handle your visit to the vet, today?
Mask, gloves?
Did you go inside?
Our vet has a curbside for meds and, if your pet needs to be seen....they’ll come out to car (wearing masks/gloves) and take Fido inside, while you wait in car.
