FINALLY, Virginia went live with its link/site where those who are self employed or gig workers or 1099 filers can apply for Pandemic Unemployment assistance.
You will first need to appy traditionally, you will then about a week later get one letter giving you a pin number and a second letter saying you have been DENIED unemployment.
At that point you can click on the link and file for the $600/week- very very easy.
IMPORTANT— no matter what you MUST call in or go online once a week- they suggest Sunday or Monday- to do your weekly sign in. You will lose a week of pay if you do not.
Start calling the first Sunday/Monday after you first apply for the traditional unemployment...example if you apply for the first time on a Monday then call that Sunday to check in.
thanks for the info

Didn’t realize there was so much ‘work’ involved. They expect one to give up Sunday and ‘report’ in.
Will they give a computer to go online.
After all, BO gave us phones......

Four weeks with the “we’ve had a record number of applicants” bull. A month and you’ve still not got your stuff together? Step aside DUmmy and let an adult who can actually do your job without excuses solve it for ya.
Thank you for posting it.
