The deaths won’t be near what was projected. But if the reopening doesn’t occur the economy will be destroyed. The separations were to get a handle on the disease, not eliminate every occurrence of it.
His track record on being wrong about stuff is truly breathtaking.
.
Trump’s Domino Plan is moving into action.
How can you say we’ve peaked when we’re about to record the most COVID-19 deaths in a single day?
Its going to backfire, Fauci said in an interview on Good Morning America. Thats the problem.
**************
So says the bureaucrat who has been spectacularly wrong in some of his ‘predictions’.
Its going to backfire, Fauci said”
From the guy who predicted 100,000 new deaths in a two week period a month ago if we followed his rules. In that period there were’t even 15,000. They are panicking now. MSM is going to wall to wall with the dire predictions to try to stop the states from loosening. If MSM doesn’t succeed and the states open this lying little shit’s act is finished. I hope Kemp stays strong.
Perfectly stated.
I would nominate this for Post of the Day if there was such a thing.
Fauci has been wrong about a lot of things. He said a vaccine was the only thing that was going to stop the spread of AIDs. It turned out that treatment rather than a vaccine stopped (or at least greatly slowed) the spread. Apparently, a leopard does not change its spots.
Good for these Republican governors to have the courage to open things back up. If they do so and the world doesn't come to an end the Democrat tyrants (and the RINO in Maryland) will be forced by the citizenry to do the same.
The left and the media (I know, redundant) want exactly that: All hell to break loose.
“The deaths wont be near what was projected. But if the reopening doesnt occur the economy will be destroyed.”

WE don’t know what will happen until it happens. The problem for Trump and the Guvs if the numbers rise is that they violated the White House plan, which calls for 14 days of dropping numbers before reopening. That hasn’t happened. If they numbers do have a noticeable rise, it’ll be a hoist-on-your-own-petard (the WH directions) problem.
Hopefully the people will be careful and responsible to help keep the numbers low as possible.
Fauci said at one point that he doesn’t put much into models....except that’s what he does....create models. He’s doing it every day...and they are manipulated. If you test only folks with symptoms instead of regions, you’re just driving those numbers. Now, by doing these antibody tests, you’re driving the numbers again. Damn...that’s how you get to one million had/have it.
The peak is always "two weeks away.". When that day comes, they say "in ten days it will be the worst we've seen.". When that day comes, they say "in two weeks, we should peak". It's as if they're applying the climate alarmist model -- doom is always just around the corner.
Once a case exists, there are two possible outcomes, recovery or death. Both those outcomes are lagging indicators, they are the last things to happen in every case.
New case rates are the leading indicator. Serious/critical cases is an indicator of severity. In many states and counties, new cases are declining.
Looing at total USA deaths doesn’t tell you anything useful. Some states went into the case curve later than others. The curve has been pretty consistent in time. Different states are more or densely populated. There are areas that have had few or no cases and those cases have recovered. It’s interesting to watch states move up and down the list. I’m in Colorado, which has gone from 5th highest in cases to 17th in about 4 weeks.
Meanwhile, in Alabama, MeMaw Ivey wants all the kids to just stay in the house. No church, no sportsball, no nothing. And restaurants are dropping like flies: two of my local favorites are no more. On one, the owners even moved out of state after closing their business.
The cdc is already exploding numbers. Y padding. Theyve admitted it.
Wake up man
...so breathtaking we’ll all soon need (economic) ventilators.
No they don't. They just don't know it yet.
“It’s going to lead to an uptick in infection rates!”
So? The original goal was to prevent overwhelming hospitals and running out of ventilators. That didn’t happen, and won’t. But we’ll monitor to make sure, and deal with it if and when it happens.
The moving the goalposts to “uptick!” is disingenuous, and not a reason to lockdown a free people. Don’t let ANYONE get away with it. They are sneakily trying to change the rules, aka, Lying.
