In a 5-4 vote Thursday, the state Supreme Court of Washington rejected a lawsuit calling for the release of thousands of inmates to help stem the spread of the coronavirus, according to reports.
Those narrowly missing a shot at freedom included Gary Ridgway, the so-called Green River Killer, who in 2003 was sentenced to life in prison after confessing to killing as many as 49 women in the 1980s, Seattles KIRO radio reported.
A lawyer representing the inmates being considered for release about two-thirds of the states prison population, according to KIRO argued that those behind bars arent able to keep themselves safe from the virus. He said those inmates who were elderly, in poor health or very close to their release date should be set free, Q13 FOX of Seattle reported.
We can all hold out in our homes. We can decide who we allow into our homes, lawyer Nicholas Straley said. People in prison do not have that option.
Assistant Attorney General John Samson, arguing against the mass release, told the court that inmates had received face masks and separated sleep spaces, and the corrections department had conducted virus testing on 300 inmates and released some offenders.

4 judges that ought to be judged and set free from their positions .
Kills 49 people, but consider setting him free because you’re afraid he might get sick.
How much more brain dead can you get?
What could go wrong?
Hope the Lopper and the Smog Strangler are kept in, too.
Can ANYONE please explain how releasing a prisoner HELPS PREVENT the spread of a disease to the public?
You cannot get any more quarantined than in prison. So many in this world have totally lost their minds or are completely possessed. This is evil insanity.
Their logic...Hard to strangle someone from 6 feet away.
Isaiah 5:20 New King James Version
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Not only that but the long-shot chance that he would get sick AND die.
Beyond insane.
The insanity of liberalism.
He was sentenced in 2003, 17 years ago. Should have been executed 15 years ago in a sane world.

One vote away from allowing a mass murderer free. Meanwhile, next door in Idaho a mother is handcuffed and arrested for going to a playground with her own children.
The lawsuit claims deliberate indifference and 4 of these top Justices agreed with this, what a loss of perspective AT THE VERY LEAST!
Four imbeciles wanted to send Gary back to “work.” how nice. Maybe he could sleep in one of the judges’ spare bedroom.
Ridgway was tried for 49 murders. He claimed 70 , but he wanted to hit 100 so may have inflated his claim.
Just watched a documentary about him.
The idea of turning this, or any prisoners loose just shows the warped minds of ‘rats. Zero commonsense.

Yup. That is that sorry state. I made the grave mistake of retiring up there after my Army days. I was job hunting and my aunt and uncle lived up there. She kept sending me the Sunday paper and I found a job up there. I had spent months looking here in the South. I had two daughters to provide for and a military retired check wasn’t going to do it. So, I moved up there and found a job within 4 days!!! I met my wife up there. After 14 years, she retired from Bank of America and we hit the road. She moved there with her Mom and sister and brothers back in the late 1950’s. She knew Seattle well. She says Seattle now is not the Seattle back then. She said when the liberals took over, Seattle became the scum it is today. She was happier than I was to get out of that place, and I was over the moon elated to move back to the South in my home state of Alabama. She loves it down here. She would not go back up there for anything. I still have a good buddy up there. He is going crazy. He hates what the place has become also. And, he was born there. He would leave except his only child lives there with his grandchildren, in Olympia, working for the leftist government. So, he won’t leave, just lives in hell.
