LANSING — A bitter dispute over Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s response to the coronavirus pandemic came to a head Thursday when Michigan’s Republican-led House authorized a potential lawsuit to challenge her emergency authority.
With demonstrators again gathered at the Michigan Capitol to protest Whitmer’s stay-at-home order, the House GOP rejected the governor’s request for a 28-day extension of a separate emergency declaration set to expire at day’s end and instead sought to limit her authority. (snip)
The drama, which included protestors carrying long guns inside and outside the Capitol, came one day after negotiations broke down between Whitmer and Republicans over her handling of the virus (snip)
Whitmer on Wednesday rejected a GOP offer to extend her emergency declaration by up to two weeks in exchange for a public promise to work with lawmakers on future stay-home orders.
“I'm not going to engage in political negotiations with anybody,” Whitmer said Wednesday. “We don't have time for politics and games when people's lives are on the line. I'm going to make decisions not based on negotiation, but based on facts and science and data and risk.”

This needs to happen in Virginia. Northan needs to flee before a crowd of patriots as he has prohibited any assembly to seek redress of his many tyanical orders.

If they didnt do anything threatening or illegal, how is it any different than the Virginia protests or other protests than have law abiding armed citizens around? The people need to stop worrying about what the MSM thinks. They are part of the problem.

There was an online recall, which was meaningless. To recall her requires signed petitions. Good luck getting those while you’re locked down.
It seems to me that governors emergency orders should not extend beyond the time it takes the legislature to meet and vote on action. Anything else should be considered abuse of power.
I hope she doesn't get run down by and Oldsmobile or worse.

Michigan elected her when they knew full well who she was and how she would govern. Michigan deserves everything she can dish out.
She lied when she made promises. Also “Michigan” should not consist of Detroit, Flint and Ann Arbor.
