“No, it’s not you, it’s me ...”

That would be funny if I was asking a daft question, but —

I don’t think I am.

Where are all the articles that have the word “Marcy” in the search term?

Either as title OR keyword?

I’m sure there were many on FreeRepublic.

But there are none now.

Or can you, as I asked in my original post, point me to them?

“Why don’t you try searching under keywords instead of title. I got results doing that”

I’m getting sick of this.

Show me your results, please.

Quickest way?

Put freerepublic into
Google—and marcy park.

Freerepublic as one word.

“Use only the word “MARCY”

Your suggestion came up empty.

Thank you. Yours has been the first helpful response.

But you’ll notice it uses “Vince” and “Foster,” not “Marcy.”

You could have searched for “cadbury Easter Eggs” equally as well.

But it leaves my original question in place.

Oh, I know what you are asking. Not a criticism of FR, but it seems that keywords often don’t get captured here.

Or titles.

Seems very contrary to what I’ve come to be used to here.

Thank you.

Many remember the haunting photograph: A woman wearing business attire and pearls is covered head-to-toe in white dust, her hands held out helplessly before her, as she makes her way out of the World Trade Center’s damaged North Tower on September 11, 2001. She survived that day, getting out before both towers of the trade center crumbled and killed 2,753 people in the deadliest terror attack on U.S. soil. But the woman in the photos, known to most as the “Dust Lady,” died Tuesday, her family said. Marcy Borders was 42.

BAYONNE — After a yearlong battle with stomach cancer, Marcy Borders — the woman known as the “Dust Lady” from the iconic photo taken of her as she escaped from the Twin Towers on Sept. 11 — has died, according to Facebook posts by multiple family members. Michael Borders, Marcy Borders’ brother, said in a Facebook post at 11:22 a.m. yesterday that he needed everyone to pray for her, before posting about 12 hours later: “I can’t believe my sister is gone.”

So, as it stands, is there no one that can show me that any article ever published on FreeRepublic ever used the word “Marcy” in either the title or the topic?

That is scary.

Did you remove the * before putting the search term in?

I’ve had poor luck with the FReeper search function. Also the activity function.

A Marcy was found. Just not the marcy you wished to find. Search feature here is like threading a needle when searching for title, user, or most anything else. Sorry couldn’t be of more help. It’s a box car derby with wooden pallets but no wheels.
