How about some foreign dude showing up in our country deciding he needs to EDUCATE us about our own country?

Somebody's gotta educate you, HG. Might as well be Hadji.

Just think of yourself as Johnny Quest. It'll be fun and you still get to be the white man.

New Mexico...

2020 - COVID Deaths - 138

2018 - Influenza Deaths - 365

Michelle Lujan Grisham served as Secretary of Health of New Mexico from 2004 to 2007.

Michelle Lujan Grisham was elected Governor in 2018.

During her 2018 campaign, she never indicated that influenza deaths required a state wide or regional lock down.

COVID deaths - existential threat.

Twice as many Influenza deaths - yawn.

I’ll give Gov Lujan Grishan a pass on this one. First off, it was the new and previous mayor, plus other city, county and state elected officals from that area that requested this. Second, with the town being a hot bed of the virus, think of the people on I-40 stopping for gas, supplies or even overnight. When they leave they would very likely carry the virus with them, including the Indians who come to shop and carry it back to the reservation.

On the other hand, the rest of the state continues to be locked down tight with only golf courses, some parks opened and some restrictions on non-essential services being lifted. Most counties aside from ABQ, Santa Fe, the Rio Grande corridor and the pueblo and Navajo reservation areas in the west central and northwest parts of the state have less than a dozen total cases of the virus and a couple still have none. She needs to open up these areas while focusing on those counties with heavy virus infection.

If it makes you feel any better, HG, Q posted the very same chart as D'Souza.

And Q is white. Maybe.

Are you sure you want to defend D'Souza?

Politically Incorrect
One of the guests on the show, in which actors, pundits and the like engage in a kind of town meeting moderated by Maher, was Dinesh D’Souza, an author and former policy analyst during the Reagan administration.
“Bill, there’s another piece of political correctness I want to mention,” D’Souza said at one point. “And, although I think Bush has been doing a great job, one of the themes we hear constantly is that the people who did this are cowards.”
Maher: “Not true.”
D’Souza: “Not true. Look at what they did. First of all, you have a whole bunch of guys who are willing to give their life. None of them backed out. All of them slammed themselves into pieces of concrete.”
Maher: “Exactly.”
D’Souza: “These are warriors. And we have to realize that the principles of our way of life are in conflict with people in the world. And so--I mean, I’m all for understanding the sociological causes of this, but we should not blame the victim. Americans shouldn’t blame themselves because other people want to bomb them.”
Maher: “But also, we should--we have been the cowards, lobbing cruise missiles from 2,000 miles away. That’s cowardly. Staying in the airplane when it hits the building, say what you want about it, it’s not cowardly. You’re right.”

Here is the definition in New Mexico statutes from the “All Hazard Emergency Management” article:

“Upon request of the mayor of a municipality or the sheriff of a county or a majority of the members of the governing body of the municipality or county having jurisdiction and after finding that a public disorder, disaster or emergency which affects life or property exists in the state, the governor may proclaim a state of emergency in the area affected. The proclamation becomes effective immediately upon its signing by the governor, but the governor shall give public notice of its contents through the public press and other news media.”

See this post for the entire applicable sections:

The short title is “The Riot Control Act.”

Are you sure you want to defend D'Souza?

Cause that one time you f'd up and got it wrong negates everything else you've ever thought, said, or written no matter how right it was.

I see how that works.

You are wise.

When working as an environmental technician for the state I spent time there in July 1979 and later following the radiological disaster at Church Rock a few miles away. That incident was the largest in the US exceeding Three Mile Island and probably the third largest known release of radiation (except for bomb tests) after Chernobyl in Russia and the 2011 Fukushima disaster.

Did I defend D'Souza? I used his tweet instead of other tweeters I didn't recognize and because Gateway PUndit's article was harder to post. I don't think he made up the data now on the CDC website. Try to defeat the CDC information.

There It Is: CDC Equates Coronavirus Hospitalizations to Seasonal Flu and Finally Admits It’s MUCH LESS Dangerous for Children

I posted this information after watching the video of the doctors discussing how the Covid-19 death reportage is artificially inflated by listing patients WITH Covid, along with things like COPD and heart failure, as dying FROM Covid. I listened to Dr. Brix say on video, "...we don't have flu anymore". Yes - that's right, we stopped reporting ANY flu in her little talk. I've seen the distortions and along comes news at Gateway Pundit and several other twitter accounts including D'Souza starting to leak out the corrected data.

Is there any part of what D'Souza said that isn't true?

(I'm not talking about Maher's last remark.)

D'Souza sure didn't come out pro-jihad. He just pointed out that the most inflamed, fanatical jihadis are not afraid to die. In fact they court death for the sake of their bogus booty reward in Islam Eternity.)

That doesn't make him sympathetic to jihadis. Quite the contrary. He said this: "Americans shouldn’t blame themselves because other people want to bomb them.”
