I suggest that wearing your wedding ring (or friendship ring) on your right hand instead of your left provides nearly as much protection against transmitting or receiving the Chinese virus as does wearing a mask in the manner which most people do.

Pro-mask-wearers say, "Glenn, you're a real arsehole for suggesting such a thing! Wearing a ring on the opposite hand does nothing to stop the spread of the Chinese virus!"

The pro-mask-wearers would be correct on both points. I am an arsehole (at least according to my bride of 35 years) and that wearing a ring on the opposite hand has nothing to do with stopping the Chinese virus ... but that's my point (except about the arsehole part ... I don't think I am one, but then again I'm a proud man and we all know what men are like).

According to the WHO which has not bought into the mask-wearing fad, wearing a mask is only slightly better (5 percent effectiveness) than wearing your ring on the opposite hand (although I admit WHO's website doesn't mention that last part.)

But the point remains: The way nearly everyone improperly selects, applies, wears and/or maintains their mask has little to no effect on transmission of the virus; however, improper mask-wearing does promote "herd immunity" by giving asymptomatic individuals infected with the virus a dose of courage and a sense of self-righteousness to venture outside with their portable security blanket (that is, their little mask) and infecting others ... the ironic part being they don't realize they're doing so.)

Dear a Lord! That’s it!
Joe Biden has been wearing a face mask too long!

Super hot chick in Walmart a couple weeks ago was about the only person in the store wearing a mask. It was a light green bandanna that matched her shirt perfectly.

I asked her boyfriend (who was wearing a standard paper mask) “Hey, she’s not going to rob the place is she? She looks like an old-time outlaw”. He said “I don’t think so, but keep an eye on her”.

I did that stunt to my anal retentive manager once. He paused a while before he asked what I was doing. I told him I was screwing around giving my boss a hard time. This was 20 some years ago. History repeats for different reasons.

“Technically” you are following the law.”

If the girl were infected, it could conceivably be “attempted assault” by overzealous law enforcement. Though I don’t think it would stick, the girl doesn’t seem bright enough to “form intent” for much of anything.

“why wouldn’t you open a hole in it to breath better.”
A minor technical disagreement.

IMO the main benefit is not to the wearer, but others in the event of a sneeze or cough, to semi-contain it.

Having worked in a laboratory for many years and occasionally wearing particle masks, n95... Scott air pak and attending endless classes on how to wear them...
Few are ever a ‘proper fit’.

Meanwhile, our corrupt baby faced governor says the good and improving stats don’t really count. So, boot to the neck continues.

I hold a serious grudge for the teachers and other government employees that voted this prick in because they *think* they will keep their unsustainable pensions. They are too stoopid to understand that his promise to kick the can down the road will do just the opposite.

PS: I go with the idea this woman did this to give Gov Andy the finger. Even if she is stupid, this time it was in the right way.

PSS: I have more to say about Andy but it would get me banned from the forum. Ya know, most people do get the government they deserve.....and the rest of us take it up the whazoo.

“Did the Frito-Bandito wear a mask?”

I’m shocked that you would bring up such a topic without a warning!!!!

I did an image search and closed my eyes very quickly.
Still, it was seared into my brain.

A stereotypical overweight male Hispanic with two guns and two bandoleers.

I need to go to my safe spot for a while.

Congratulations to her! I like the idea! We were required to wear a face mask to shop at Costco today. We live in eastern King County, WA - the first place in the country to have had deaths. Our hospitals emptied out and it has basically been over here since the end of March. Now as an exercise in political correctness Costco is rubbing our faces in this nonsense. The face mask kept fogging up my glasses and it looked to me like everyone in the store was wearing a leftist dunce cap.

I’ve been thinking of wearing an arc-welding helmet.

Oops! Yet another stereotype!

Anyone remember former NASCAR driver Dick Trickle?

He had a hole drilled into the chin bar of his helmet so he could smoke cigarettes during caution periods.
