The categories will be constantly changing. Obese can be 1 pound overweight. My daughter was told she was obese in high school to keep her off too many varsity teams. She was perfectly healthy. Just another control scam.

Weight can be reduced fairly quickly. I have dropped 25 pounds since mid March by walking six to nine miles each day and eating reduced portions of healthy, home cooked meals. My wife has lost half that amount, but I had more to lose in the first place.

I rarely shop the aisles, concentrating on the perimeter of the store, but there are packaged & frozen items I routinely purchase. Every once in a while, I’ve tried some of the frozen, packaged, processed offerings or something in a can purporting to be delicious..

They are terrible! Nothing ever looks like the pic on the package, there is always less than it implies,and the taste is lacking. Textures are also elided so that the result is bland or overpowering flavors within something that is essentially mushy.

That inoculates me for another few years. I’d rather learn to make whatever triggered my appetite from scratch. It’s always better.

Congratulations p. henry on your weight loss, you have done what few have managed to do.
Weight loss is not a solution for the Covid-19 time frame but long term, maybe before the next pandemic.

Had lunch with a friend. . .trying to support a local diner. . .carry out and then to the park. Brought the coconut cake and had her take the rest home with her. She just lost her husband a few days ago. So sad.
