How long is a person firmally found to have contracted COVID-19 due to being infected with the novel Coronavirus considered to still be sick and/or liable to transmit the virus or the associated illness to others?

Isn’t there a point at which public health authorities can consider them to have become healthy again, meaning, that in their case, the virus has run its course, they are no longer infected by the virus, and they are no longer “shedding” virus particles?

Not everybody dies from this bug. Those that survive would just as soon stop being bothered by others about having been sick with it at some point in their past.
