No, those are two different things. Since after 1996, only once has a Republican won an open Dem Congressional district in CA (Steve Kuykendall), which was in 1998 (this had been a seat that the GOP had likely won in 1994, which would’ve given the GOP a 27-25 majority going into the 1996 elections) when Jane Harman vacated it to run for the Senate. She merely came back and “reclaimed it” in 2000 from Kuykendall.
Yet another statistic where the Republicans continued to be the “victim” of incumbent defeats.
I merely stated that if Mike Garcia wins on Tuesday, it will be another Kuykendall-type victory, but it won’t change the fact that the Republicans have not “been allowed” to explicitly defeat a Democrat incumbent in 26 years.
As I said, this applies to federal races, not statewide. I don’t count “Ah-nold”, not that I would’ve anyway, as I said he was a Demonrat on steroids pretending to be a Republican. I almost was banned from FR 17 years ago for being so vocal in my opposition to his candidacy. Davis was preferable to him and would not have done as much damage to the GOP.
With Newsom’s executive order, it’s largely the final straw that Demonrat voter fraud will be far greater than the last time on top of that corrupt vote harvesting. As someone in this thread said, “Why bother voting at all ? The Dems can announce ahead of time what the results will be.” Maybe they’ll let Kevin McCarthy be the last Republican Congressman from California, at least until 2023 when they’ll take his seat for a 100% pure Demonrat Communist delegation.

It presumes GOP are too stupid to play by new rule. Learn to collect ballots like the DemoKKKrats do. The GOP did it all the time int he 1800s. DemoKKKrats have no corner on cheating.

The California GOP is that stupid and helpless. It’s been led by incompetents who think being another leftist party will help “increase” their numbers. That tack, of course, fails every single time. They’re also battling against an epic level of corruption from the Dems. When the vote counters and law enforcement are all for the bad guys, you’re f***ed.
It’s going to take non-Derp federal law enforcement to go into California and go over every vote and person involved in the process.
Why can’t it be challenged before the election? Federal election law mandates the date of the election. Perhaps the courts have ruled on this since many states have “rolling elections”. But the election is the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November.
Of course, after the fact, all kinds of lawsuits will fly. CA courts have a lot of precedent for open records. Would be interesting to cross check all the mail in ballots with the at the polls ballots - and see how many new felons the state is willing to create for double voting.
Ballot harvesting is a whole other issue. If you cannot campaign near a polling place, why are you allowed to go into someone’s house and help them “fill out their ballot”?
Simple solution. Trump signs Executive Order decertifying all Mexifornia elections.

I don’t think that EO would be constitutional. States have a lot of latitude in how they handle elections. It needs to challenged in court on civil rights grounds that its an invitation for fraud. Its integrity is impossible to maintain and thus will disenfranchise legitimate California citizens. That law suit needs to start now and go up to USSC if necessary.

Well, he was elected by the voters of California. Evidently they are more than happy with him. I am not but that does not matter. Unless the Republicans can neutralize or counter this, presuming they wish to, id bodes for the Ship of State of America.
