Thanks. I love that song. Do you know what instrument(s) are used? It sounds like kettle drums to me but I suppose it could be a keyboard since they can be made to sound about like anything.

Love Metheney!

Saw him for the first time at the Vermont Jazz Festival in 1976. His music is so uplifting!

You should feature some of the music of Allan Holdsworth in is UK or Bruford years.

Growing up in IL, one of the band members and his family lived a block from us.

I’ll never see and hear Pat and Lyle live again. That makes me sad. This album had a weird, spiritual component to it that seemed to be part of the tribal tone of the writings. I love it all. RIP Lyle Mays.

Pat Metheny is a guitarist - that train like melody tone is made using a guitar with a chorus effect turned way up. He also uses a guitar synthesizer on a lot of tracks.

Pat Methany was the the sound track for our 4 day drive down Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway last fall. Just fantastic.

Last train home always reminds me of my Dad.
