Right. Hillary didn’t need the Patriot Act to illegally obtain and possess 900 FBI files.

>>When either side is in power they want the power to use it to go after their enemies. That’s why FISA will never be removed.

So who has Donald Trump taken down with it?

GW Bush? Who’d he get from the Clinton era or opposition?

Sorry—The words you are using are English, but I still have no idea what you are trying to say or ask.

I've got news for you, when a vote passes or fails by one vote that immediately tells me, as in this case, most everyone wanted this amendment to fail. This tells me the voting was scrupulously orchistrated to allow people to vote how they publicly wanted to be perceived with just enough to ensure there would be sufficient votes allowing it to fail.

You are exactly correct. It is political theater. The vote was doomed to fail because the establishment state will destroy anyone who opposes it.

3 didn’t vote and declined answering why, 1 absent

Anyone who didn't vote can be considered as a vote against the amendment.

I note with no surprise whatsoever that one of my senatecritters, Cornyn, John (R-TX) refused to vote against the surveillance state yet again. At least he's consistent.

Yep, Portman is a stinker. I don’t live in Ohio anymore, but still have family there, plus dear friends. DeWhine has really shown his colors, too. These are the kind of incumbents I try to vote out when new people are running against them. Keep Jim Jordan though. He’s a good guy.

You can find all the Windows Ping list threads with FR search: just search on keyword "windowspinglist".

Thanks to ShadowAce for the ping!!

He’s saying YOU CAN DELETE YOUR GOOGLE SEARCHES andYOUTUBE SEARCHES, AND YOUTUBE VIEWING HISTORY from within those apps.

Of course it better to use DuckDuckGo for searches.

And of course if Feds get a warrant they get what you looked for/at anyway.

Anyone who visited a pr0n site or had a pr0n site open a window on their computer due to a virus is potentially in trouble.

The actresses that sign up with the pr0n companies often lie about their age. So an image can end up on their computer of an underage woman engaged in a lewd act. And this could be something they didn't go looking for, or even actively tried but failed to prevent.

Now those people are guilty of pedophilia.

I wonder if the prisons and or camps will be large enough to hold all of these felons?

Any good Republicans going to primary him? If not, Toomey is still better than any D PA has to offer.

yes, but IMHO if feds produce a warrant, Google / youtube still have your history and searches.

USE A VPN.

Under Section 215 of the Act, the government can compel phone companies and internet service providers to turn over such data, if it is deemed vaguely “relevant” to a terrorism or counterespionage case.

When the Democrats regain power, all those who supported President Trump. most Republicans, all Christians, all gun owners, and most Whites will be considered to be terrorists of one degree or the other. And dealt with accordingly. If yo don't believe it, wait and see. They are already laying the foundation.

Unconstitutional and needs to be challenged in court.

The very “intent” of this is the least of what it is used for. I’d bet that everyone who is active on this site could be or is on a list for occasional searches. The definitions used to justify doing such are surprising light weight. One person on here makes a somewhat (and probably joking) comment regarding some sensitive area.... and bam ... they can justify checking out everyone.

Bingo, except it has already happened and is continuing to happen. POTUS can't micromanage every holdover.

Nowadays, “terrorists” could conceivably include COVID “super spreaders” who refuse to stay home. This bill sucks.
