US academic institutions and the free press have degenerated into political propaganda machines that speak with one voice: the newspeak groupthink party line. They consider TRUTH to be whatever they can convince the masses that it is.
TRUTH for its own sake, the only thing that can save America from destruction, is anathema. They hate and fear it. It threatens their groupthink paradigm, which perversely is like a religion to which they adhere with blind faith.
