1. The Civil War was about/because of slavery.
2. FDR got us out of the Great Depression with the New Deal.
3. That Senator McCarthy was paranoid and there weren’t a bunch of socialists and communists in government - especially the State Department, as well as in Hollywood.
4. That states ever agreed to bind themselves forever when they ratified the Constitution and may not unilaterally secede.
5. That America’s origin is traceable to a bunch of religious fanatics landing up in New England (Jamestown preceded it for several years and was founded for that most American of motives.....MAKING MONEY).
But there are so many, I can't begin to reduce them to merely five.
Those who speak TRUTH are condemned, destroyed, and sometimes murdered.
US academic institutions and the free press have degenerated into political propaganda machines that speak with one voice: the newspeak groupthink party line. They consider TRUTH to be whatever they can convince the masses that it is.
TRUTH for its own sake, the only thing that can save America from destruction, is anathema. They hate and fear it. It threatens their groupthink paradigm, which perversely is like a religion to which they adhere with blind faith.
The evil behind all this is of no concern to them. Evil, like TRUTH, to them, is whatever they can convince the masses that it is, if, in their minds, it even exists.
God, Who is the only ultimate TRUTH, is also obviously held in contempt.
