The little tourist town I live in has done this. Made it a law on May 6th expiring on June 10th. (just in time for 2 million tourists. Or would be 2 mil in a normal year) I had no idea so, after being home alone for 19 days, I went to town yesterday to get my mail and grocery shop.

A very rude little girl at Safeway ordered me to leave the store. I thought it was a store policy until I went to the auto parts store and noticed the little sign on the door saying it was a town ordinance.

Can’t remember when I’ve been so POed about something. Totally humiliating. Looks like I’ve got another 25 days before I can go grocery shopping.

Outdoors makes the least sense. You are far more dangerous coughing in an enclosed space with a recirculating HVAC system. When I am huffing and puffing away mowing my yard alone, I'm of no danger even if I have the virus. Stick me in a grocery store and the result is different.

Well, he can say it, but I can tell you that here in West Hollywood, people are strolling out and about without them. Some of us compromise with a bandana or scarf around our necks that we can pull up if we go into a store, but... by and large, Angelenos are over it.
