Eddie Haskell wasn’t the troublemaker. He was always polite and respectful to the adults. Beaver was the one that was always creating ‘situations’
Yea, but the politeness had an air of insincerity about it. Which was exactly what it was supposed to have.
Lumpy, now he was a piece of work
Eddie was a jerk. He may have been pandering to the grown-ups while the adults were in the room, yet when the authorities were out of the room, Eddie was busy being condescendingly creepy...thusly referring to Beaver as the name,Squirt. Even the dad would tell Wally that Eddie was a jerk. When they asked Alice Cooper what sort of a kid Alice was...He replied,Oh well I was the Eddie Haskell of the neighborhood. In other words a smart Alec who would patronize the grownups while acting like a creep most of the rest of the time. I have to say, it is fun to kiss up to the grown-ups while Hiding a large straw and a ready to use spit ball. Just figuratively, not literally. Long live Eddie Haskell.
Eddie was the Troublemaking suckup that charmed the adult Cleavers
Great character actor!
Those of us who had younger brothers know all about “situations”.
NEVER listen to Larry Mondelo.
Telling that to Beaver was like telling the expendable characters in a horror movie - Don’t go in the basement! They always went.
Eddie was a troublemaker, rather he created situations and then backed off, making himself look innocent.
It was Eddie who changed the marks on Beaver’s report card.
This I learned at Mother's knee, that Beaver lacked a moral compass. Anyone could talk him into anything and admission of guilt was always a last resort for him.
