Colorado among the states that share names, addresses of COVID-19 cases with law enforcement
KRDO ^

Public health officials in Colorado are sharing health information, including names and addresses, of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 with first responders.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment told KRDO when conducting work as a public health authority, state and local public health agencies are not bound to HIPPA laws. In that scenario, agencies can provide patient health information about those who test positive for COVID-19. In Colorado, health officials say they can share that information with law enforcement, paramedics, and other first responders.

Public health officials in at least two-thirds of U.S. states are sharing these addresses with first responders, according to a report from the Associated Press. But only 10 states, Colorado included, are sharing names. The purpose of this is meant to protect first responders from possible infection, according to the AP.

Colorado isn’t even pretending anymore. Come down with CCPVirus, expect a knock on the door from law enforcement.

Better, the ACLU “is involved”, not to stop this idiocy mind you - just to make sure the “data isn’t misused”

But they won’t share information about illegals engaged in serious criminal offences with ICE. We really are in a bizarre period of history.

Wasn’t thinking when I posted that. Ofc l
LEOs know how. They do the issuing. I think there was an argument on ammunition sales and storage in case of a fire.

Bizarre people making things up as they go along - and they really believe all of us will follow their edicts?

Come down with CCPVirus, expect a knock on the door from law enforcement.

What they gonna do? Arrest the virus?

So do they get notified when in followup testing 2 weeks later that you test negative, or do you carry a LEO scarlet letter for life?

Deaths in nursing homes have become a liability to the Left so the retabulation becomes just as suspect as the original numbers.

“So much for HIPA.”

Sad to say Hipaa allows the release of personal medical information in a number of situations. One of those is they can communicate with family members, law enforcement, or others when the patient presents a serious and imminent threat of harm to self or others;

https://www.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/hipaa-privacy-rule-and-sharing-info-related-to-mental-health.pdf

I realize this is written for the protection based upon mental health issues as written. But it will be used for any type of threat to the populous and will hold up in court. They won’t be able to separate danger from danger.

They are finding out. They are guaging us to see how fast and how unrelenting they can be, how permanent. They have seen a certain sheeplike character to the entire population that does not bode well for the continuation of any liberties or the Constitution itself. The Constitution is pretty close to being a dead letter.

My fear, too.

Our overlords commanded “Pull down your pants and underwear, bend over and touch your toes!”

And we did, mostly silently, with almost no fight at all. If we’re lucky, they’ll use a little lube.

(from the KRDO report)

The Colorado Springs Police Department said once it receives the information a temporary be on the lookout, or BOLO is issued.

"It's a very standard, very generic message that doesn't identify anybody or doesn't identify exactly what that BOLO is there for," Sokolik said. "But it basically says there's a temporary BOLO here and personal protective equipment is recommended."

What could possibly go wrong?.....
