We live in a rural area, and before this "pandemic" would receive our mail around noon. The postal service is so overwhelmed by all the Amazon orders, delivery times are now as late as 9pm.
I've ordered one of those gizmos (from Amazon) for my mailbox that pop up to let me know a delivery has occurred.

My daughter lives in a small town in CA. and the nearest box stores are a good 40 minutes away. She only has a high end grocery store which is quite small. Shes been ordering paper towels and toilet paper from Amazon.
My husband and I are ordering lots of books.

We live in rural area also. The PO delivery man returns large Amazon packages to the PO (and we have one of those lg mailboxes). We have to go to PO to get them.
The PO had a pile of pkges to be picked up by customers. I felt sorry for them
